Howard L. “Butch” Houtz, Jr., 57, of Renovo passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Bucktail Medical Center, Renovo. He was born November 24, 1961 in Lock Haven. Butch served in the United States Army. On August 11, 1984 he married Tracy Bodley Houtz, whom survives in Renovo. Butch was an EMT, having worked for Susquehanna Regional EMS, Williamsport as well as Goodwill Ambulance of Flemington. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing darts and watching hummingbirds. Butch’s biggest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife, Tracy Houtz of Renovo, he is survived by his mother, Carol Houtz of Williamsport; his daughter, Jennifer Bodley (Shane) of Renovo; two sons, Michael (Amanda) Houtz of Avis and Jesse (Karen) Houtz of South Carolina; four siblings: Chris, Donnie, Rose and Lee; and eight grandchildren who were his world. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 3 P.M. at the Renovo Fire Department, 230 11th St., Renovo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, Pa 17745.
