Henry “Dee” Padgett, age 57, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Burke Hospice & Palliative Care, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Padgett was born February 11, 1962 in McDowell County, NC to the late Harry Dee Padgett and Helen Lee Truett Padgett. He was an avid deer hunter and carp fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Lee Reed and Debra Jean Johnson. Those left behind to cherish Mr. Padgett’s memory are two children, Cassidy Padgett and wife, Laura and Brandi Robertson and husband, Nacoma; one sister, Hattie Hollifield; his adopted friend, Linda McKinney; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and beloved friends. A private service for Mr. Padgett will be held at a later date.
