Weiss 1926-2019 Harvey Weiss, 92, of Kenosha went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday February 24, 2019 at Hospice Alliance-Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie surrounded by his loving family. Harvey was born on July 16, 1926 in Kenosha, the son of the late Reinhold & Martha (Behr) Weiss. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Bradford H.S. Harvey was a member of the U.S. Navy, serving as a SeaBee for 16 years and Naval Reserves for 12 years. He married Geraldine Jelen on August 2, 1947. After, Geraldine’s passing, he later married Elizabeth (Boettcher) Wendling on August 16, 2003 in Union Grove. Harvey was employed as a service foreman at Wisconsin Bell for 35 years. He attended Pleasant Prairie Baptist Church. His hobbies included camping, fishing, boating, and going on cruises. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Weiss of Kenosha; children, Lee (Gloria) Weiss, Susan (Terry) Giggy, Robert (Elizabeth) Weiss; step children, Gary (Donna) Wendling, Phillip Wendling, Thomas (Vikki) Wendling, Timothy (Karen) Wendling; grandchildren, Jill, Steven, Carrie, Matthew, & Benjamin; step grandchildren, Danielle, Tara, Dena, & Matthew; 6 great grandchildren; and 7 step great grandchildren. Harvey was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Geraldine, brother, Benjamin, and sister, Lillian Tracy. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday February 28, 2019 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 10:30-12:00 Noon, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 Noon. Burial will take place at Green Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Pleasant Prairie Baptist Church would be appreciated.
