Garabed S Hosdaghian 2019

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the sudden and unexpected passing at home on February 20, 2019 of Garabed Hosdaghian. Garabed was born in Beirut, Lebanon on December 8, 1950. He was the third child out of four children of Setrak and Makrouhi Hosdaghian. Garabed immigrated to the US in 1971 and met the love of his life, Sosi at St. Vartanantz Armenian Church in Ridgefield, NJ while teaching Armenian dance. He married Sosi Karinca in September of 1976. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Aleen in 1977 and Shaunt in 1982. He opened a business specializing in men’s clothing, now known as Sossi Formals in Orange and Dutchess Counties in NY. He is survived by his wife Sosi, daughter Aleen, son Shaunt and daughter-in-law, Maral; His sister Zvart, his two brothers Yeghis and Meher and their respective families; his mother-in-law who loved him like a son; many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. His wake service will take place on Friday, February 22, 2019, at 8 pm. Viewing hours begin at 6 pm. The funeral will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 10:30 am. All services will be held at St. Leon’s Armenian Church in Fairlawn, New Jersey. For in lieu of flower memorial donations, the family has designated Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension, Trumbull CT 06611 and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. His presence on this earth will be severely missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
