Eugene’s Obituary Eugene David Wall, 91, of Prestonsburg, KY, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 in Decatur, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 26, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 25, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Eugene was born May 16, 1927, in Pana, IL, son of Alonzo David and Ethel Leah (Deardorff) Wall. He married Regina Gertrude Jolly May 31, 1945. She preceded him in death September 25, 2001. Eugene was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Eugene worked for N&W and Illinois Terminal railroads. He enjoyed four-wheeling, the outdoors and was a man of nature. He especially loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his children: Judith Boyle of Houston, TX, Linda Wall, David Wall, Roger Wall and wife Patricia, Debra Wall-Friedrich, Marilyn Lange, all of Decatur, IL, Leah Cook of Prestonsburg, KY, Edward Wall and wife Dianna of Decatur, IL, and Candice Spears of Bolingbrook, IL. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Mary Alice Voudrie, and brother Dale Wall. Read More
