Ernest Wilson Fisher, 76, of Roeland Park, KS, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Morning Side Place. He was born September 16, 1942 the son of Ernest Elmer and Nettie Kathryn Fisher in Waco, MO. Ernest proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life, Dona in 1984 in Kansas City, KS. Ernest worked long days and hours as a sheet metal worker for J&L Sheet Metal for over twenty five years. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union #2 for thirty five years. After his retirement him and Dona were able to spend quality time together. He loved God and was a faithful man. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty four years, Dona; children, Vonnie Fisher, Ischel Beers and husband Rod, Chris Jensen and wife Kerri, Rob Jensen, and Nicholas Fisher; a brother, Don Fisher and wife Rachel; sister Nadine Roberts; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Fred Fisher. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Maple Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M. until service time. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
