Elma Norma Cooper 2019

In San Francisco on February 23, 2019, Elma Norma Cooper passed peacefully at her home in the Marina at the age of 95. Predeceased by her parents Riccardo and Santina Campanelli, her first husband Faliero Casavecchia, her husband Allen Cooper, and sister Gloria Corino; she was loving mother to Richard Casavecchia (Di); grandmother to Jill Casavecchia (Mat), Richard Casavecchia (Courtney) and Anthony Casavecchia (Lindsey); great-grandmother to Harper, Haven, Raven and Adalind; and aunt to Jeffrey (Linda), Glenn and Mark Corino. A resident of the Marina her whole life, Elma attended Marina Middle School and graduated from Galileo High School. Her first marriage was to her wartime sweetheart Faliero (Freddie) Casavecchia. She later married Allen Cooper, with whom she lived happily for 42 years. They especially enjoyed traveling and taking cruises. She was a member of DePaul Seniors and enjoyed lunches and dinners with friends and family. Over the past several years, one of her favorite pastimes was people-watching at the Marina Greens. Friends are welcome to join the family at her vigil immediately followed by the funeral mass at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 666 Filbert Street, at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 5. Interment will follow at the Italian cemetery in Colma. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
