Sennett, Jr., 76, of McAlester, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, at his home in McAlester. Visitation will take place on Friday and Saturday. Graveside funeral services will be Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Arpelar Cemetery pavilion. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or Hospice of McAlester, 801 E. Wyandotte Ave., McAlester, OK 74501. E. L. Sennett, Jr. was born on June 20, 1942 in Rockford, Oklahoma to Earl Lonzo and Della Ethel (Rhodes) Sennett, Sr. and has lived in this area all his life. E. L. worked at Oklahoma State Prison a few years then at the Army Ammunition Plant. He was also a jack-of-all-trades and did lots of handyman work around McAlester. E. L. is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Arlan Sennett, Sr. of McAlester, Sherry Crenshaw of McAlester, Rhonda Hicks of McAlester and Harlan Sennett and wife Nicole of Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren, Arlan Sennett, Jr. and wife Leighah, Shelby Lynne Sennett, Rachell Diane Morrison and husband Daniel, Jeffery Don Short, Justin Lee Short, Gary DeWayne Hicks, Bobby Wayne Hicks and Cheyenne Michele Sennett. Also, 7 great grandchildren, Mason Ryan Stephens, William Levi Morrison, Heath Landon Hall, Timber Bluejay Short, Scout Aspen Short, Zachary Hicks and Brycelynn Morrison; a sister, Zelda Kennedy of McAlester. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, L. H. and Martha Sennett and Joe and Lottie Rhodes, a brother, Jerry Sennett, and 2 sisters, Mary Collier and Earlene Sennett.
