Don H. Whitten, age 79, passed away February 17, 2019. He was born October 11, 1939. He worked for Chattanooga Glass, & then became the manager of Tejas Warehouse. His love for the outdoors, & his cattle were his life. He was a member of the Navarro Mills Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents – Warren, & Alline Whitten; Son – Dennis: Sister & Niece – Frances & Judy Ward; Nephew – Kelly Russell; & Godson Stan Horton He is survived by his wife of 59 years – Jean; son – Douglas, & Fiancee DiAnna; Daughter-in-law – Anita Whitten; Grandchildren – Kelsey, Ethan, & Rebekah. His special love for his nieces & nephews Jayme & Jimmy Putman, Kathy, & Mike Reppart, Teresa Russell, & Renda, & Alan Schuelke, Janith, & Dale McManus, Sayla, & Gary Hintze, Sister-in-law – Peggy Russell, & God Son Bill “Butch” Horton. He also had numerous great nieces, & great nephews. Pallbearers are – Rusty Putman, Joseph Shofner, Jonathan Shofner, Jay Russell, B.J. Kehres, & Jonathan Guildersleeve. Honorary Pallbearers are – Brindon Dechaume, & Jordan Dechaume. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7pm at Griffin Roughton Funeral Home. Family Graveside Service will be at Dresden Cemetery with Brother Ben Butler officiating on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 11:00am. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Don H.
