Deborah M. (Nicoli) Ritter, 56, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Born August 12, 1962, she was a daughter of Francis Nicoli and the late Judith (Cyran) Nicoli. Along with her father Francis, she leaves behind her loving son, Maxwell; sisters, Mary and Lynnie; stepbrother Michael; godmother and aunt, Joan; nieces, Stephanie and Gillian; nephew Brady; ex-husband Tom; Alfonso Sarno and many more loved ones who cherished her. Deborah grew up in Chicopee and was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1981. Before her passion for child care became established, she enjoyed working at the Sheraton in Springfield and Disney World. Working as a nanny paved the way for her child transportation career, her attachment could be seen through the unique love she showed each individual student year after year. She had a great heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her compassion for others was unparalleled and will be remembered for her sincerity. Calling hours for Deborah will be held Saturday from 1-3PM at Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee with a prayer service at 2:30PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 678572, Dallas, TX 75267.
