David Eugene “Gene” Hughes, age 81 of Manassas, VA died at Virginia Hospital Center on February 16, 2019. Gene was born on February 12, 1938, son of the late William Roy Hughes and Alpha Stanley Hughes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Randy and his brother Ron Hughes. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Fleming Hughes; his sons Jason Hughes and wife Amanda and Rick Hughes and by his 5 grandchildren Anthony, Erica, Matthew, Sarah and Becky. The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA on Wednesday, February 20,2019 from 6-8 pm where funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 12:00 PM.
