Mr. David E. Blackman, 79, of Watershed Road, Newton Grove passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 11, 2019 at Newton Grove United Methodist Church, Newton Grove beginning at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1 till 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Officiating will be Rev. Allison Lancaster. Mr. Blackman will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery following the funeral service. Mr. Blackman’s survivors include his daughters; Amy B. Brewington and husband Richard of Newton Grove, Amanda B. Cook of Raleigh, son; Darrell Blackman of Clayton. Grandson; Riley Brewington, sister; Brenda Adams and husband Bobby of Four Oaks. He was preceded in death by his parents; Mack Luther and Beulah Mae King Blackman, daughter; Diana Blackman, grandson; Rylan Brewington, brothers; Bill Blackman, Lloyd Blackman and Luther Blackman, sister; Stella Cotton.
