Curtis’ Obituary Curtis F. Haskins, 58, died in a motorcycle accident Sunday, February 3, 2019. He was born in Verdun, France on October 5, 1960 the son of LTC (R) Franklin “Lin” C. Haskins and Barbara “Pat” Haskins. He spent early years moving around in a military family in France, Germany, Alabama, Texas, Utah, Syracuse, New York. He attended Patton Jr. High and Leavenworth High School. He is survived by two children Michael Haskins and Michaela Haskins, his parents, Pat Haskins, Leavenworth, KS and Lin Haskins, Virginia Beach, VA. He also leaves behind a sister, Debby H. Scharnharst, Overland Park, KS, her husband Paul, his favorite nephew, Randy and his brother CWO (R) David Haskins along with his family in Ipatai, GA, three grandchildren, Colton, Tessa and Emma, and his loving companion, Cheryl Ennis. Curt was a carpenter for 40 years most recently a superintendent for Bowden Construction Company in Kansas City. He also taught carpentry for Associated Builders and Contractors. He enjoyed life riding his motorcycle, camping social events in Kansas City, Chiefs and Royals. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Overland Park, KS. He had many friends who along with his family will miss him terribly. A Visitation will be 1 to 3 P.M., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Davis Funeral Chapel.
