Christina Eliou, 89, of Ambridge, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 27, 1930 in Patmos, Greece to the late Emmanuel and Ekaterina Rigas. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Ambridge. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and floral designing. Christina loved the outdoors and enjoyed working in her garden. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, James M. Eliou, and three brothers, Menas, William, and John Rigas. She is survived by four children, Anna (Tom) Napoleon of Indiana, Michael ( Lisa) Eliou of Pittsbugh, Katina Eliou of Ambridge, Emanuel Eliou of Ambridge, adopted daughter, Gayle Maretti of Harmony Twp. and adopted son, John Fennick of Butler, three grandsons, James (Carrie) Eliou, Joseph Eliou, and Dimitri Napoleon. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, from 3 to 8 PM and Thursday from 9:30 AM until time of funeral services at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 2930 Beaver Road, Ambridge. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Arrangements were entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, Pa 15003.
