Chester’s Obituary Chester J. Tomczyk, age 90, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, with his family at his side. Cherished son of the late Jan (late Maria) Tomczyk; adored husband of Jozefa for over 65 years of marriage; dearest father of Edward (Helen) Tomczyk, and Haline Schiechl; devoted Dziadz of Angie, Cindy, Kenny, Tracy, Michael, and Steven; loving great-grandfather of Sophia, Jay, Matthew, Daniel, Simon, and Dylan. He is also survived by a brother Mieczyslaw Tomczyk, and a sister Jozefa Skawinski, both still living in Poland. Fond uncle of many nieces & nephews. Chester was awesome at gardening, and was also an amazing dancer. He was a hardworking, independent, and strong willed man. He had the best sense of humor, and he always left you smiling. Visitation Monday February 18, 2019, from 3 – 8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C., 108 Illinois St. Lemont, IL 60439. Funeral services Tuesday February 19, 2019, 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home, going in procession to SS.
