Kay Gatchell, 84, of Burnsville, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Mountain Manor Assisted Living. A native of New York, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Irene Shaw. Kay was a former resident of Florida and a retired supervisor with AT&T. Surviving are her sons: George Baker and wife, Karen, of Sumter, SC, Bruce Baker and wife, Joan, of South Glens Falls, NY, Jim Baker of Green Mountain, and Steve Baker of Dunnellon, FL; a granddaughter; 2 great grandsons; and, 4 sisters: Charlotte Lewis and Lynn Brennen, both of South Glens Falls, NY and Betty Anderson and Gail DeSorbe, both of Queensbury, NY. The body will be returned to New York for services and burial. Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home is assisting the Gatchell family.
