CALVIN JOSEPH “C.J.” RAY, age 19 of Columbiana, passed away suddenly on February 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Alabaster, AL on February 24, 1999; the son of Benny Joe Ray and Julie Danielle Crowe Ray. He is survived by: Father, Joe (Danielle) Ray of Foley; Mother, Julie Ray of Calera; Brother, Jalen Ray of Columbiana; Sister, Andala “Andi” Morris of Foley; Sister, MiKayla “Moo” Morris of Foley; Sister, Jocie Paradise of Altoona; Sister, Kiera Paradise of Altoona; Grandfather and Custodial Parent, Richard Bradshaw of Calera; Grandmother, Patricia Walker of Calera; Great Grandmother, Monta Bradshaw of Calera; Foster Parents, Jamey and Linda Paradise of Altoona; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by: Grandmother, Donna “Nana” Bradshaw. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 2:00pm from the Shelby Memory Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Calera. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, AL.
