Richburg Mr. Buddy Joe Roberts, 79, died Friday, February 8, 2019 at his home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Marty Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2019 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave, Great Falls, SC 29055. Mr. Roberts was born March 26, 1939 in Great Falls, SC and was a son of the late Luke Roberts and Evelyn Knight Roberts. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and retired from Lance Vending as a technician. Early in his career Buddy pulled the “Dope Wagon” for the local mills. Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the US army. He is survived by two sons; Buddy Joe Roberts, Jr. , and William Roberts both of Richburg, SC.; one daughter, Jennifer Shelton ( Lonnie) of Great Falls, SC; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Camp ( George) of Shelby, NC. ; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his wife Nannie Dove Roberts. Memorials may be made to : Agape Hospice, 1326 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
