Barbara Jean Biddinger, 78, of North Vernon, passed away at 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Majestic Health Care in North Vernon. Born April 19, 1940, in Jennings County, Ms. Biddinger was the daughter of Harrison Carter and Nellie Estelle (Udell) Hook. Ms. Biddinger was a 1958 graduate of North Vernon High School and worked in shipping for Vernco-Ventra in Columbus for 36 years; she had previously worked for Arvin’s in North Vernon for 5 years. Ms. Biddinger was a member of Wilson Chapel Church in Elizabethtown and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Andy (Lori) Biddinger of North Vernon; grandchildren, Kristian Biddinger of North Vernon, Aubbrey Biddinger of and Kody Biddinger both of Vevay and Lindsey Anderson of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert L. Hook; and sister, Virginia M. Harp. A funeral service for Ms. Biddinger will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Alzheimer’s Association.
