Annie Bland Howell September 4 1959 January 21 2019

Annie Maria Howell was a beloved wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother, cousin, and friend. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. She was born September 4, 1959 in Merced, California, the daughter of Arthur Bland, Sr. and Ruby Bland. She departed this life with her husband, Robert and her mom; Ruby at her bed side on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at her home in Los Banos, CA. Annie was 59 years old. Annie married her true love, Robert Howell, on March 4, 2006. She loved family and was the mother to many. The true measure of that love could be seen when you looked at the joy in her eyes when she spoke about Robert, her brothers, sisters, children, and grandchildren. This deep unconditional love that Annie gave to everyone around her is attributed to the special love and bond that she shared with her mom. They had a relationship that could only be felt and not spoken. Annie was a hardworking, generous, and selfless person. She worked for Chevron for over 10 years. Annie loved her co-workers and interacting with her customers that became her extended family. One of her favorite pastimes was gardening. Her claim to fame was her mom’s yard. She loved giving you the grand tour of both the front and back while explaining all the hard work she put in to making it so beautiful. She also loved horseback riding and listening to the beautiful sweet nothings of her birds Blue and Skittles. She loved football season so she could watch her beloved Oakland Raiders. Annie was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Bland Sr., grandparents, Robert and Violet Calhoun and Willie and Rosie Bland. Annie leaves to cherish her memory a combined family including her husband, Robert Howell of Los Banos, CA; mother, Ruby Bland of Los Banos, CA; three brothers, Arthur Bland, Jr of Atwater, CA, and Larry Bland (Synell) of Los Banos, CA, Andrew Allen (Shiva) of Laguna Hills, CA; three sisters, Yolanda Madkins (Jay) of Merced, CA; Kathy Key (Thomas) of Hephzibah, GA, Rolinda Biven of Albany, OR; two daughters, Tara Rasberry-Lopez of Maurice, LA, Quinnisha Ingram of Fresno, CA, three sons, Joseph and Calvin Rasberry, Jr. of Los Banos, CA, Chris Ingram of Fresno, CA.
