Alice V. Moriarty, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in County Kerry, Ireland on August 25, 1931, daughter of the late Michael and Ann (Sullivan) Moriarty, she lived in Chicopee for the past forty years. Alice was a retired quality control inspector for Easco Hand Tool Co. and a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr. She will be remembered for her love of Irish music and spending time with her family and friends. Alice is survived by her loving brother, Maurice Michael Moriarty, of the Hungry Hill section of Springfield; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Kathleen Moriarty of Springfield, Joan Moran of Springfield, Nora Frances of County Kerry, Ireland, Sean Moriarty of County Kerry, Ireland, and Eileen Collins of County Kerry, Ireland. Funeral services for Alice will be held Friday from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday morning from 9-11AM.
