Mitchell Edward “Eddie” Keel, age 81 of Dover passed away on February 13, 2023. He was a born in St. Louis on December 20, 1941, the beloved son of William and Inez Keel. Eddie had illnesses as a young child causing him to have a speech impairment. Despite this, Eddie made friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with family and friends. He was baptized at the age of 14 and later rededicated his life to the Lord at 75 years old. Most recently, he attended the Dover Church of Christ. At a young age, Eddie worked for LBL helping to build campgrounds. He spent many years working at O’Neal Keatts Sawmill and other local sawmills. Eddie’s sense of humor and happy-go-lucky personality will be greatly missed. Eddie is survived by his brothers; Billy Keel of Dover, TN, Bobby Keel of Clarksville, TN, Mike Keel of Dover, TN and brother-in-law; Dean Vick of Bumpus Mills, TN, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister; Mary Ann Vick. Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 beginning at 9:00 am until 11:30 am at Anglin Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Heflin Cemetery at 12:00 pm with Bro. Terrance Cottle officiating. Those serving as pallbearers are Jimmy Keel, Randy Keel, Robby Keel, Dylan Keel, Eugene Keel and Mitchell Keel.
