OBITUARY William T. Kendrick, Sr. April 10, 1939 – January 13, 2019 Play Tribute Movie William T. Kendrick Sr., 79, passed away January 13, 2019. He was born April 10, 1939 in Washington D.C. and resided in the Jacksonville area for the past 45 years. He retired from the U.S. Navy after a 26-year career then went to work in Civil Service at NAS Jacksonville until his retirement in 1997. He also spent three years in the Army prior to enlisting in the Navy. He was stationed in Germany during the 1961 Berlin Crisis. Bill was a lifetime Boy Scout and scout leader and was actively involved in the program for over 50 years. Bill is survived by his wife Blanche Kendrick; his three sons William Kendrick (wife, Barbara), Daniel Kendrick (wife, Renee), James Kendrick (wife, DeDe); daughter Kathleen True (husband, James); stepchildren Gregory Hunt, Christopher Hunt, Michael Hunt, Rhonda Dyer; grandchildren David Kendrick, Danielle Kendrick, Chelsea Grier, Carolyn Kendrick, Andrea True Parker, Sara True; and many great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel, 729 Edgewood Avenue South. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5752 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32244.
