Obituary for Thomas G. Crampton Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at HealthSource Saginaw. Age 75 years. The son of the late Walter and Geraldine (Alexander) Crampton, Tom was born May 7, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Judith C. Dengler, his loving wife of 57 years, on March 11, 1961. She survives him. Tom earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University and was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear for 38 years until his retirement in 2000. Tom was a member of St. Dominic Parish. He also served on the Saginaw City Council for four years. In his earlier years, he was active in the Saginaw Boys & Girls Club and had coached basketball at St. Stephen School. Tom also coached flag football in the Saginaw recreational leagues as well. Tom enjoyed sports, especially golf and basketball. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. Surviving besides his wife Judy are one daughter, Cathy King, Saginaw; three grandchildren, Michael, Lindsay and Matthew King; a sister-in-law, Joan and Richard Schultz; several nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Crampton. Honoring Mr. Crampton’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at St. Dominic Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw in Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Friday from 12:00 noon until time of Mass.
