Terry Eugene Chilcote 2019

Mr. Terry Eugene Chilcote, Sr., 68, of Greencastle, PA passed away the morning of Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in his home. Born December 1, 1950 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Max Chilcote and the late, Jacqueline Flemming. Terry was a lifelong resident of the area. In 1978, he became owner and operator of D&T Services, a trucking company that worked with Corning Glass in Greencastle. After he sold his business in 1989, he worked several years for Phoenix Color of Hagerstown, MD. He and his wife of 46 years, Deborah (Souders) Chilcote were married June 3, 1972. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Waynesboro and Moose Club, Waynesboro. He was an avid coin collector. First and foremost he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his wife he is survived by two children, Travis Chilcote and his wife, Courtney, and Tania Funk and her husband, Jacob, both of Greencastle; seven grandchildren: Kayla Chilcote, Wyatt Chilcote, Shaun Chilcote, Kaira Funk, Claira Funk, Kassius Chilcote and Kynlee Chilcote; two brothers, Carl “Butch” Chilcote, Chambersburg, PA and Jamie Chilcote, Ft. Loudon, PA; a sister, Mary Kay Martin, Chambersburg and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry E. Chilcote, Jr. who passed away March 16, 2015, and a brother, Jeff Chilcote. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 25, 2019 in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. Greencastle, with Rev. David Rawley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
