YOUNGSTOWN – Sheryl Jean George, 64, of the city’s south side, passed away early Wednesday morning, Jan. 2, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital following an extended illness. Sheryl was born May 18, 1954, in Warren, and was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Schniebel. Sheryl was raised in Hubbard, graduated from Hubbard High School, and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. George was a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who also worked outside the home for Community Busing, for Phar-Mor, and for Windsor House, retiring on disability. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hubbard Sheryl leaves five children, Carla Morrow of Ft. Lauderdale, Ronald Morrow of Youngstown, John (Sandy) George of Niles, Sheryl (James) McGahan of Youngstown, and Nancy (Joe) Richards of Niles; 14 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Her husband of 28 years, John Richard George, whom she married Aug. 15, 1980, passed away Jan. 20, 2009. Two grandchildren are also deceased. There are no calling hours and private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd. Youngstown.
