Shelby Caulfield was called home to the Lord on January 28, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Edith Crawford, as well as her loving husband of 54 years, Glenn. Surviving are her sister Gladys Smith, brother Harold Crawford, children Kimberly (Oswaldo) Vasconez, Greg Caulfield, and Scott Caulfield, five grandchildren Alexis, Ashley, Blake, Mikaela, and Nolan, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Shelby was a proud “small-town farm girl” from Milledgeville PA who enjoyed traveling the globe with her husband, although the family farm was her favorite place on Earth. Shelby also enjoyed frequent visits to Hilton Head Island, cooking and sharing new recipes, catching a matinee movie, and loved to end the day with a game of Flinch or Old Maid. She lived a life full of love and will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Skilled Nursing Center at Northern Hospital in Mount Airy, NC. The family thanks the doctors, nurses, and staff at Northern Rehab for the outpouring of kindness and compassion that was shown to Shelby during her stays there. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Cox Needham Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Mrs. Dana Craker officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6 PM. to 8 PM at Cox Needham Funeral Home .
