Sharon Kay Edwards 2019

September 18, 1947 – January 24, 2019 Sharon Kay Edwards, 71, of Albany, passed away at the Evergreen Hospice House. The daughter of Glenn and Dorothy (Granneman) Ehrichs, she was born in Carroll, Iowa. She attended school in Corvallis, Oregon graduating from Corvallis High School in 1965. Later that year, she married Don Edwards and they made wonderful memories together until his passing in 2011. Sharon worked for the telephone company for 30 years, retiring in 2001. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering for the SMART Reading Program, The Albany Historic Carousel, and the City of Albany Parks Commission. Sharon is survived by son, Tyler; grandchildren, Brett and Parker Nicholsen, Garrett and Taylor Edwards; sister, Emily Lassiter; partner Virgil “Butch” House, and faithful dog LucyLou. She was preceded by her parents; husband, Don; daughter, Pamm Nicholsen; brother, Dennis Ehrichs. Memorial contributions may be made to the Albany Carousel or Evergreen Hospice in care of Fisher Funeral Home, 306 SW Washington St. Albany, Or. 97321. There will be a memorial service at 2p.m. on Saturday, February 9 at Fisher Funeral Home. To plant a tree in memory of Sharon Edwards, please visit our Tribute Store.
