Obituary for Sharon M. Vassallo Print Sharon Vassallo, 70, of Bayville passed away Saturday, January 26, surrounded by her family. Sharon was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and raised in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She was a graduate of Fort Lee High School. In 1970, she married her husband, Fred, and they started a family. They resided in Teaneck, New Jersey, before making the decision in 1978, to move and raise their family in Bayville. A decision that brought them happiness and many lifelong friendships. Sharon was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a twenty year breast cancer survivor. After her retirement from Health South Rehabilitation in Toms River she spent her time enjoying her family and friends. She enjoyed scrapbooking, baking, traveling, but most importantly being a grandmother. Sharon was a member of the Vintage Automobile Club of Ocean County and the Berkeley Underwater Search and Rescue Squad. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marie Breslin and her step father Cliff Belschner. She is survived by her husband, Fred, and her three children, Jennifer McMahon and her husband, Rick, Todd and his wife, Nancy, and Debi Bieske and her husband, Paul. Her seven grandchildren, Blake, Nicholas, Kelsey, Brandon, Gabriella, Vincent and Connor. Along with four great grandchildren, Robert, Andrew, Garry and Adalynn. Her siblings, Bruce Belschner and his wife Kathleen, Cliff Belschner and Suzanne Vierling and her husband Don. Along with several nieces and nephews and extended family, all of whom she loved very much. Arrangements are under the care of Mastapeter Funeral Home, located at 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 30, at the funeral home from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 am on Thursday, January 31, at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, 33 Woodland Rd. in Bayville. To plant a tree in memory of Sharon M.
