Ruth Franklin Jones Alexander, age 95 of Camden formerly of Puryear, TN, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Camden Healthcare. Mrs. Ruth was a homemaker and farmer in the Puryear Community. She attended the Primitive Baptist Church in Puryear, TN. She loved to read and gardening. Ruth was born on April 17, 1923 in Hazel, Ky, to the late Royce Jones and to the late Audrey Madeline Ferguson Jones. She married on January 1, 1940, to Benford D. Alexander, who preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Pat Fowler of Camden, TN; one sister, Peggy (Porter) Davis of Colorado; one brother, Pat (Joy) Jones of Missouri; and by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Billie June Paschall, and Bobbie Yeary; four brothers, Royce Jones, Charles Jones, Dan Jones, and L.C. Jones; and one son-in-law, Norman Fowler. Arrangements are being handled Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and continue Friday, January 11, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be Friday, January 11, 2019, at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Chad Kennedy officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Pierce, Allen Paschall, Kenneth Paschall, Dwain Evans, Kyle Norwood, and David Hubbs. Burial will be in Foundry Hill Baptist Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
