Obituary for Russell Lee “Lee” Fogle Russell Lee Fogle 85 of Mount Airy, MD Passed Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Edna (Stone) Fogle, his wife of 62 years. Born April 15, 1933 in Braddock Heights, MD the son of the late Russell Melvin Fogle and late Alma F. Shull Fogle. Mr. Fogle retired from C & P Telephone Company in 1992 with 36 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, Member of Mt. Airy American Legion Gold Star Post 191 and Mt. Airy VFW Four Counties Post 10076. Lee coached Little League Baseball for 7 years , was a volunteer for Boy Scout Troop 191, a member of Keystone Freestaters Camp Club for 20 years, a 50 year member of Mt. Airy Kiwanis Club and recognized in 2006 an outstanding Kiwanian receiving the Hixon Award, 20 year member of the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary, member of Howard Chapel- Ridgeville UMC, member of Mt. Airy 55+ Club and a member of The Coffee Club. Mr. Fogle was inducted to the Mount Airy Hall of Fame in 2009. Surviving are his 3 children and their spouses Steven and Jill Fogle of Lexington Park, MD, David and Sherry Fogle of Warrensburg, MO, Kenneth and Lisa R. Fogle of Mt. Airy, MD, 7 grandchildren Jennifer, Kristin, Brady, Lori, Jessany, Andy, Dusty and wife Chelsea Fogle. 2 great-grandchildren Colin and Kinsley Fogle. The Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 20, 2018 11 to 1 Pm with Memorial Services at 1:00 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Depart. Auxiliary, 702 N. Main St. Mt.
