Ruby’s Obituary GREGORY, RUBY LEE ELLIS, age 85, a resident of Wood Village, formerly of Mt. Vernon, widow of Sam Gregory, passed away 4:30 a.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Wood Village. Member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Lowell Miller; Son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Linda Gregory; Grandchildren and spouses, Doug and Kim Miller, Adam and Kristi Gregory, Charla and Chris Hutchison; Great-grandchildren, Addison and Cole Haggart, Will and Maggie Miller, Chance Arden, Drew, Brady and Sarah Hutchison; Brother, Marlin Ellis; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Ben D. and Nettie McConkey Ellis; Sisters, Rose Ellis Lee, Cecil Ellis Stephens, Ocie Ellis Moses, Lucille Ellis Atkins; Brothers, Starlon, Carl, Lealon, Earl and Arvil (Harvey) Ellis. Thanks to everyone for your prayers, visits, texts and phone calls to the family in the past weeks. Special thanks to all the staff at Wood Village for the love and care they gave to Ruby. Funeral 7:00 p.m. Monday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Gale Miller officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Eleazar Cemetery.
