Obituary for Roscoe Norton Roscoe Norton, 94 of the Red Oak Community, was called home by his Lord and Savior, On January 25, 2019 when his work on earth was complete, Loved by his family and all who knew him. He left this world with his family by his bedside. Roscoe was well known and respected in the Red Oak community, He was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. A man of many talents, a self-taught engineer that could do anything. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting. He was a man of strong faith of which he shared with his family. He not only attended his church Ivy Creek and Oak Ridge Baptist church but many others in the area he had a love for God, hearing his word and fellowshipping with people. He was born January 20,1925 in Madison County to Mount Paran Norton and Dora Jane Buckner Norton. Roscoe was preceded in Death by his Beloved wife and soul mate of 73 years Beula Cleota Norton, his siblings John Norton, Shadrack Norton, Louie Norton, Covie Norton Dockery and His mother, Dora Jane Buckner Norton and Father, Mount Paran Norton, Daughter Jane Norton Moore, Son in law Harold Roberts, Unborn son Alonzo Norton, Granddaughter Rebecca Moore, unborn Griffee Twins, unborn Wright baby. Left to cherish his memories are his daughters Rose Dees (Ron), Loretta Boings (Benny), Easter Griffee (Mark), Roberta Wright {Mark); 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren; Son by heart Larry Rogers and daughters of the heart Janice Stephenson and Carrie Gentry who he loved like his own and one brother Frank Norton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 28, 2019 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverends Larry Sprouse and Weldon Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
