Ronald “Ron”‘s Obituary Ronald “Ron” Heath McKnew, age 76, of Blairsville formerly of Naples, FL passed away on Monday December 31, 2018 at his home. Mr. McKnew was born on December 15, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, the son of Wilbur McKnew & Mary Keg McKnew. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Ron loved model trains, reading, history and Facebook. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Margaret Mary McKnew. Ron was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Ron is survived by his loving wife & best friend of fifty- three years, Margaret Peters McKnew; son Casey McKnew of Ft. Myers, FL; daughter Kim McKnew of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Nicki & Taylor; brothers-in-law, Bert & David Peters of Cincinnati, OH; and many other relatives and friends. The family will meet with friends at Mountain View Chapel, 513 Murphy Hwy, Blairsville GA 30512, on Friday January 4, 2019 from 3-4:30pm, followed by the North GA Honor Guard conducting Military Honors.
