Roland G D’Amato 2019

Roland Gerard D’Amato born January 17 1931 passed away on January 29th 2019 at the age of 88. Roland attended Central High school in Newark NJ. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was known by many as being a very generous and loyal person. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Football Giants. Roland was employed as a Customer Service Representative by Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Newark for many years, retiring in 1986. Roland was a loving husband to his late wife Rachel and father to his two children Lauren Pellechio and her husband Robert and the late Billy. Most of his favorite moments in life came from watching his four grandchildren Bobby, Nina, Sammy, and Jessie grow up. And most recently he became a great grandfather to Ashton and Raelyn. He was a humble and kind man who will be missed by many. He was predeceased by his sisters Catherine D’Alise and Frances Burke. Visitation is Friday 4-8pm with a prayer service at 7:30pm.
