OBITUARY Rita Foret Cangelosi May 16, 1933 – January 29, 2019 Rita Foret Cangelosi passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the age of 85. She was the beloved daughter of the late Percy Foret and Mabel LaRosa. Granddaughter of the late Tesca and Lucille G. Ducote. Cherished wife of the late James Joseph Cangelosi Sr. Loving mother of James Cangelosi Jr., Elizabeth Cangelosi Austin, Paul Cangelosi and the late Salvador Cangelosi. Proud Grandmother of Licia Cangelosi, Kristie Cangelosi, Melissa Conzonere, Kristian Cangelosi and Tammy Cangelosi. Great Grandmother of Dallin Cook, Isabella Goyer, Lexi Conzonere, Hollie Flower, Gianna Goyer and Noah Conzonere. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many relatives and dear friends. Rita was born in New Orleans, LA, currently residing in Slidell, LA, where she relocated from Arabi, LA following Hurricane Katrina. She was deeply devoted to her Lord and Savior and would faithfully attend church services, finding peace in praying the rosary. She was definitely the woman in charge of the family, yet found pleasure in caring deeply for others. Rita will always be remembered for her loyalty and dedication to her family, her loving spirit, and raising her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, February 2nd from 8:30AM – 11:30AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Rita’s memory beginning at 11:30AM. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
