Richard’s Obituary Richard William Seligmann, 91, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, OH. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Delores L. Seligmann and his Sons, Randal (Karen) of Cincinnati, Ronald of Annapolis, MD, Robert of Denver, CO and Rodney (Debra) of Hinsdale, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his oldest son, Richard. He leaves behind ten Grandchildren and one great grandchild. Richard enlisted in the Navy in 1943 having lied about his age, he was just 16. He was honorably discharged in 1947. While never finishing high school himself, he believed in education. He helped each of his children emotionally and financially graduate college. He lived with his Wife for many years in Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights, Illinois. He and his wife moved to Ohio in 1993 to be closer to family. Richard was a man of few words. He represented honorably those from the greatest generation. He retired in 1990 with a five year plan to enjoy retirement and his nest egg to the fullest. Twenty nine years later the plan is complete. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project. Read More
