Mrs. Frances Willene Salter,89 of Repton, AL passed away Wednesday, January 09, 2019 at Evergreen Medical Center. Mrs. Salter was born and raised in Conecuh County. She had worked with Vanity Fair in the lace department and was a member of Arkadelphia Baptist Church. Mrs. Salter is preceded in death by her parents; Melvin Johnson and Edna Smith Johnson, her husband; Charles Melton Salter, a son, Dennis Salter, one brother, J.W. Johnson, a grandson, Conan Ivey and two great grandchildren, Nathan Ivey and Grayson Salter.

Survivors include three sons; Greg Salter and wife Melva of Belleville, Scott Salter and wife Pat of Lyeffion and Stephen Salter and wife Donna of Excel; two daughters, Debbie Salter Sargent of Evergreen and Beryl Salter Ivey and husband Robert of Repton; two brothers, Douglas Johnson of Andalusia and Charles Johnson of Monroeville; one sister, Edna Davis of Evergreen; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Willene Salter will be Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. James Nowell officiating. Burial will follow in Arkadelphia Cemetery in Conecuh County (for those meeting at the cemetery, the time should be approximately 3:00 PM). Visitation for Mrs. Salter will be Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Pilots for Christ at P.O. Box 707, Monroeville, AL 36461 or a Charity of Choice.
