Peggy Ann Jones February 04, 1955 – January 26, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Mrs. Peggy Ann Jones of Trumann departed this life on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 63 years, 11 months and 22 days. She was born Friday, February 4, 1955 and a lifetime resident of the Trumann area. Mrs. Jones was a former employee for the Parker Hannifin Corp. in Trumann and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by one son, Scott Paul Jones; two brothers, Billy Dean Whitman and Terry Joe Whitman and was the daughter of the late Benton Whitman Jr. and Irene Walker Whitman Laughinghouse. She is survived by her husband, Robin David “Bob” Jones of Trumann; two sons, Christopher Jones of Trumann and Gary Lee Jones (Amberly) of Lake City; 3 sisters, Vivian Roberts (Mike) of Horseshoe Lake, Ark., Sharon Crow (Darrell) Brookland and Erika Collins of Bono, Ark.; three brothers, Benton Roy Whitman (Brenda) of Trumann, Dale Whitman of Walnut Ridge, Ark., and David Whitman (Mona) of McCrory, Ark.; four grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Jr., Abby, Jaci and Paisley Sitzer. Funeral service will be Wednesday morning at 10 A.M. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, Ark. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 PM to 7 PM at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark. Pallbearers will be Gary Lee Jones, Christopher Jones, Darrell Crow, Louis Martinez, David Whitman and Benton Whitman. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
