Obituary of Patricia Zimmer Patricia A. Zimmer, 73, of West Ellicott, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Bradley J. Zimmer whom she married September 3, 1966 in Zion Covenant Church. Pat was born July 3, 1945 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Robert and Arlene Johnson Widrig, and was a 1963 graduate of Southwestern Central School. She had worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Southwestern for many years as well. Pat was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, Lakewood American Legion and the Vikings. Throughout her life, she enjoyed boating, softball and bingo and also enjoyed many wonderful years of roller skating with her husband. In addition to her husband, Brad, she is survived by a son, Marc (Kim Callahan) Zimmer and daughter, Nikki Heverley, both of Erie and by Melody (BJ) Russell of Jacksonville, FL, who has been like a daughter to Pat for many years. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jesse and Jacob Zimmer and Ashley Rininger, all of Erie; a great-grandson, Bradley Greco of Erie; two brothers, Duane Widrig of Jacksonville, FL and Robert (Ann) Widrig of Sugar Grove, PA; and a sister, Judy Widrig of Warren, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, JoAnn Hobart and Kathleen Bradley; and a brother, James Widrig. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Miller, pastor of Zion Covenant Church, will officiate. Friends will be received Saturday for two hours prior to the service, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lind’s. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.
