Ola May’s Obituary Spartanburg, South Carolina Ola May Dantzler Burgan, daughter of the late William Willie and Ola Mammie Dantzler, passed on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was a member of New Trinity Baptist Church. After graduating high school she continued her education at hunter College in New York City where she received her Associates Degree in Education. For over 19 years she was a New York City Grade School Teacher. Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mrs. Burgan are her sons, Jerry L. (Mary Polinski) Burgan of Pembroke, NH, Larry T. (Diane Temple) Burgan of Bronx, NY and Michael D (Thelma Toni) Burgan of Charlotte, NC; sister, Vanessa Walker of Wellford, SC; grandchildren Terrence Burgan, Kadesha Burgan Jackson of Hamden, CT, Shavonne Burgan of Charlotte, NC, Nicole Burgan of New York, NY, Michael Burgan Jr., of Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren Jerrel Jackson of Hamden, CT and Keanne Jackson of Hamden, CT; sister in law, Flora Green of Wellford, SC; cousin, Norma Jean Dantzler Hailey of Lyman, SC; along with a host of other family and friends.
