Obituary for Norma Jean Politte Norma Jean Politte was born on May 13, 1936, a daughter of the late Marvin Laws and the late Rosie (Lawson) Laws. On November 3, 1956, Norma was united in marriage to Robert R. Politte and they shared sixty-two years together. Norma entered eternal rest on January 22, 2019 at Mercy – Jefferson having reached eighty-two years of age. Norma will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Politte; daughter, Cindy Politte; brother, Larry Laws; in-laws: JoAnn Skaggs, Peggy (Gary) Adams, Mike (Connie) Politte, Billy (Wanda) Politte, Bob (Debbie) Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by two brothers: Leonard Laws and John Laws; sister, Bernice Knight; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Lillian Politte; and in-laws: Rachael Shepard, Laverta “Bert” (Grassy) Stringer, Norma (Johnny) Hedrick, Rhonda Adams, LeRoy Politte, and Leon Skaggs. Visitation for Norma will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at DeClue Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, January 26, 2019, beginning at 9:00 AM. A funeral service for Norma will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2019, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at Adams Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by DeClue Funeral Home.
