Nathaniel Autry Bartlett 2019

OBITUARY Nathaniel Autry Bartlett August 23, 1984 – January 16, 2019 Nathaniel Autry Bartlett was born August 23, 1984 in Bellevue, Washington to his loving parents, Donna Jean & Roy William Bartlett. Within their warm, caring arms, he soon blossomed into a bouncing, vivacious toddler, who displayed an intense curiosity and voracious appetite to learn more about the world around him & the wonders it held – something that would come to shape & define him throughout his entire life! To say that Nathan was “active” as a child would be an understatement! His curiosity bloomed and blossomed throughout his youth, growing into a unique combination of excitement, courage, and passion that made him truly “One of a Kind.” Even while young, Nate’s enthusiasm and energy were irresistible and extremely contagious. And while it may be true that he could at times be a challenge for parent, teacher,& sitter alike to bridle, all who came to know Nathan would agree that he was surely, completely, & wholly: unforgettable! Nate continued to grow into an enthusiastic young man with an avid love for nature. Curiosity turned to fearlessness, fueling an ever-growing adventurous spirit. Through this, he developed a lifelong passion for the outdoors, hiking, camping, and (most of all): fishing! Often those who knew him well would marvel – Although unable to sit still for even a moment throughout his childhood, Nate could literally sit for hours at the end of a dock, fishing. Throughout school, Nate found an interest in & passion for computers. Upon completing school, he immersed himself into this love and worked his way into a number of computer & IT related jobs, eventually landing a contract as a project manager for Microsoft. This allowed him to expand his recreation and further his interest into hiking, enjoying creation, and fishing. Along the way, he made many close friends, all of whom would agree that he was truly unforgettable! Over the years, Nate developed many admirable qualities – he was Generous, Genuine, Hard Working, Ready to Laugh, Humorous, Empathetic, Determined, Strong, and Passionate… One of his most notable qualities was his endurance – something that defined him to the end of his life. Through his many battles and health problems later in life, Nate proved to be a fighter! No doubt rooted in his love for life and interest in finding the next big adventure, no matter what odds he was up against, he showed incredible endurance and desire to live. Eventually though, he lost the fight, and fell asleep in death on the morning of January 16, 2019. Nate had strong faith in the scriptural teaching of a future resurrection of those asleep in death, found at (Acts 24:15).
