Michael Mokey Trudell 2019

Michael’s Obituary Michael Trudell, affectionately known as Mokey, peacefully passed into eternal life with our Lord, on January 6, 2019 after he bravely endured and embraced his final days with family and friends. Mokey was born on July 21, 1964 to his loving mother, Mary Lou Planeta and father, David P. Trudell I. He was baptized into the Catholic faith at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church on August 2, 1964. Growing up in Jackson, Michigan, Mokey attended St. Mary Star of the Sea School and graduated from Lumen Christi High School. He graduated from M.J. Murphy Beauty School and began a career that allowed him to serve clients and have co-workers who eventually became lifelong friends. Mokey was the last proprietor of the Chicken Inn along with his mother, Mary Lou. After which they opened Mokey’s Hair Salon where he worked side by side with family and friends. He was a compassionate, kind, and caring man, who had a strong devotion to his family. He made certain his nieces and nephews visited often, as he would lovingly grasp their faces in his hands and squeeze their cheeks. He was their heart as they love him dearly. Mokey was everybody’s HERO. Mokey was preceded in eternal life by great-nephew Blake Trudell. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, brothers and sisters, David (Rhosan) Trudell II, Michelle (William Brown) Trudell, Marilyn (David) Smith, Diane Trudell-Bynum, Daniel (Debra) Trudell, Vince Trudell, D’Angela O’Dowd, Monica (Lamont Anderson) Trudell, Desiree (Vince) McGuire, D’Anastasia Ratchford, Doris (Scott) Nau, Edward (Laura) Planeta, and Alison Trudell. His many nieces and nephews who, in his heart, were his own children. Numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins, and best friend, Peggy Granger. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church (1111 Carlton Blvd., Jackson, Michigan) with Reverend Father Timothy MacDonald presiding on Thursday, January 10, 2019 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson (4204 Ann Arbor Road, Jackson, MI) on Tuesday, January 8th from 4-8 P.M. and on Wednesday, January 9th from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. with a Rosary Service to begin at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
