Mary E (Drollas) Darrar, 87, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Whispering Knoll in Edison. Born in Newark, she moved to Edison over 50 years ago. She was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at Guardian Angels Church in Edison. She loved music, dancing & walking, and she was an unrelentingly positive and earnest lover of life and admirer of all things good in those around her. Mary is predeceased by her son, David (d.2016); & 3 siblings, Anthony & Rose Drollas & John Schimer. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, David; nieces and nephews, Noelle Drollas, Anthony T. Drollas Jr., & Gary Darrar; & 3 great-nieces & nephews, Braelan, Athena, & Anthony Xavier. The funeral will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 9:15 am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middle Avenue (Rt. 27), Metuchen followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at Guardian Angels Church, Edison. Entombment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-7 pm. Flowers are welcomed.
