Obituary for Mary Josephine Masica Saginaw Twp., Michigan Beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 94 years. The daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Duma) Clay, Mary was born on October 31, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Frank Masica on June 2, 1951. He predeceased her on August 7, 2011. Mary was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and was a life member of the League of Catholic Women. She was a full time homemaker and enjoyed gardening and traveling throughout the U.S. Surviving are two sons, James (Jim) Masica, Bernalillo, New Mexico; William and Lee Masica, Saginaw; two grandchildren, Joseph and Sara Masica, Santa Fe, New Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews; and her circle of special friends at St. Thomas Aquinas. Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Luella V. Gray, John F. Clay and Florence I. Grauf. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate with interment to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
