Mary Ann Powell of Stratford, Oklahoma was born November 15, 1938 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Clarence Ray (Jack) and Marjoretta (Perry) Woods. She passed away at her home in Stratford at the age of 80 years 2 months and 2 days. She grew up in Stratford and graduated from Stratford High School. She married Charles Douglas Powell on June 6, 1956 in Stratford, Oklahoma. She lived in Moore then moved to Boulder Colorado, where she and Charles loved camping in the Colorado mountains, after the loss of her husband she moved back to Stratford. She worked in hospital admissions, she made beautiful crafts and was a wonderful cook. She made the best pies for her sister at Janice’s Bar B Q. Mary Ann was a member of the Free Will Baptist Stratford, Oklahoma. Preceded by; her parents Jack and Majoretta Woods, her husband Charles Douglas Powell, and one son Douglas Wayne Powell. Survived by; two daughters; Debbie Salazar & husband Greg of Crawford, Colorado; and Deanna Alvarez & husband Ruben of Broomfield, Colorado; two sisters; Janice Woods and Cathie Elmore both of Stratford, Oklahoma. 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren. Memorial Service; will be 1:00 PM Friday January 25, 2019 at Stratford Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating Rev. Lewis Perry.
