OBITUARY Mark Darrin Kirkland December 6, 1967 – December 30, 2018 Mark Darrin Kirkland, 51, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018. He passed in his home from complications with diabetes. Mark was born on December 6, 1967. Mark was the youngest of four children. Mark was raised in Valley Center, Kan. where he attended Valley Center High School, class of 1986. Mark was described as the life of the party and loved riding his motorcycles and working with his hands; he followed this trait through his work. Mark was a lifelong Chiefs fan, he loved to bar-b-que and be the grill master, hosting his friends for football, dinner and a round of pool. He was survived by his parents, Jake and Patricia Kirkland. Daughter, Alyssa Kirkland (Luis Moran). Siblings: Steven, Doug Kirkland (Jodi), and Tami Applegate (Scott). Nieces, Ally Applegate, Brandi (Troy) Dusenbery, their daughter Regan Dusenbery, Claire Kirkland. Nephews: Bret (Erin) Kirkland, Jared Kirkland, Kevin (Kristin) Kirkland. And his dog, Bart. Visitation will be from 1-3p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Kellogg Drive, Wichita, Kan. 67209. Private graveside service will follow. Memorials can be given to the American Diabetes Association, 608 W Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67203.
