Marie D. Knight, 94, of Hartford passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Ohio County on April 29, 1924 to the late William M. Daniel and Olda Roach. She was a sales clerk at Elaine’s Department Store in Hartford and a homemaker. She attended Hartford Baptist Church and was a member of Bennetts Homemakers and Ohio County Hospital Auxiliary. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Jack” Knight, infant son, Leonard J. Knight, Jr., her brothers, Enious Daniel, Dale Daniel, sisters, Thelma Daniel, Hazel Daniel, and Alta Westerfield. She is survived by 1 niece and 3 nephews. Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, February 1, 2019 at Miller Schapmire Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am Friday until the time of service at the funeral home. Miller Schapmire Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Knight.
