Dad preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Gary Needham, Sharon Goodwin Needham, and Janis Rice (John) along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was loved by all who knew her. She was totally committed to serving the Lord as evidenced by teaching Sunday School until she was 90. The Lord held first place in her life. Her love for family and friends was obvious. She was a great cook and consummate domino player. Along with an abiding dedication to her church many years were filled with quilting, gardening, visiting family, discussing politics, laughing, sharing memories of her long life, and taking trips with dad. Now mom is praising God and fellowshipping with dad, her siblings and close Christian friends. God is well pleased. Visitation will be January 30, 11:00 a.m. at Southeast Baptist Church followed by her service at 12:00 p.m. Interment 1:30 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers she requested contributions be made to Shriners Children Hospital or Southeast Baptist Church, 2414 S. WW White Road, San Antonio, Texas 78222.
